A highly respected servant of God and The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has said he knows the kind of person that the governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, is, in spite of the negative comments made about him in some quarters.
He described El-Rufai as a tender-hearted person who cares much about the people, especially the oppressed and particularly those who were kidnapped in recent times.
Adeboye said this when he paid a visit to the governor in the Government House, Kaduna, on Tuesday. The visit was against the backdrop of the kidnapping of eight members of the church in the state last March.
According to the General Overseer of one of the fastest growing churches in Nigeria and which has presence in over 130 countries across the world, “I know the kind of person you are. I know you are tender-hearted, I know how you definitely must be feeling, particularly when the kidnappings are going on. When they begin to kidnap school children, I know how you must be feeling.”
The servant of God further noted that the church would continue to pray for Kaduna State and he expressed the optimism that the current situation would soon change for the better.
The servant of God who is popularly called Daddy G.O added that, “We are praying for you and I believe God is going to answer the prayers. I am assuring you sir that the Almighty God is going to fight for you, He is going to fight for Kaduna state, He is going to fight for Nigeria,”
The governor noted the importance of the visit as well as the concerns expressed by the servant of God, stating that the visit to Kaduna by Pastor Enoch Adeboye came at a time the state was confronting challenges and as such the gesture was deeply appreciated.
“He is an esteemed guest at any time, but his visit in a challenging moment is a most touching gesture. We are grateful for his solidarity and his message of support, hope and encouragement,” the governor said.
