Users of the POS of the financial service company, PayAttitude have complained that the company extorts them by charging extra amount of money per day which is never made known to customers.
According to an investigation carried out by ENM, it was discovered that the financial services provider, PayAttitude, has engaged in the practice of removing extra N86 per day from the account of their POS users. This was not in any originating agreement between the company and the users of their POS.

Users say this amount is removed without any previous discussions and this has caused many of them a lot of money in loses.
According to one source who doesn’t want to be named, “I am surprised to discover this amount is deducted when I sit down to do my calculation. I notice that for each transaction, the company deducts N25 which I am aware of. But it also deducts another N86 per day which I am not informed about when I opted for the services of the company. This is surprising and I wonder if I am working for them. These people remove their own fee of N25 and still deduct from my own money. This is unacceptable. I spoke to one of their agents and he has nothing to say except that this is what the company charges per day. This deduction is made each day whether or not I do any transaction with the PayAttitude POS. This cannot continue,” the customer lamented.
Another source said, “I have noticed this pattern of irregular deductions for a long time. But I haven’t really sat down to do the calculation and trace what the issue is. I didn’t until other users of the POS complained to me. Then I did my calculation and realised that there is a daily deduction of N86. This is wrong as I was not informed by the company. Even banks do not charge anything of this nature per day. PayAttitude cannot take what is mine. It’s extortion.”
According to users, other providers of the same financial services do not make a daily deduction of N86 so they would rather do away with the services of PayAttitude and get another POS.
ENM contacted an agent of PayAttitude who said he was in a noisy place at the time and that he would call back. He had not until this report was published.
